When should I use this guide?
You want to create a new team.
You want to group users who need access to the same places.
You want to create a team and add users and places later.
Prerequisites
You are logged in to Infobric Equipment on the web or in the app.
In the app, you are a company administrator.
On the web, you are a company administrator or, if your company uses departments, a department administrator.
You have decided what to name the team.
How to do it
In the app
Tap Menu in the bottom right.
Tap Teams.
Tap the plus sign in the bottom right.
Enter the team's name in Name on the Create team screen.
Tap Create.
The overview of all Teams appears again.
Then open the team if you want to add users or places. You do this from the Members and Places tabs.
On the web
Go to Admin → Users → Teams.
Click Create team.
Enter the team's name in Name.
Select users in Select users if you want to add them straight away. You can also create the team without users.
Click Create.
Once the team has been created, the dialog closes and the message Success! appears.
On the web, you link places to the team after it has been created, from the Places tab.
If the user is not in Equipment yet, open the team you have created and select Users → Add users → Create company user. The full steps for managing users are described in Manage teams.
If it doesn't work
First, check that:
you have the administrator permissions required for the platform
you have opened Teams in the app or Admin → Users → Teams on the web
you have entered a name for the team
On the web, the Name field is highlighted in red and Required appears if you click Create without entering a name. In the app, Create is disabled until you have entered a name.
Tips!
Give the team a clear name, for example based on its region, department or work group. Several teams can have the same name, so choose names that make them easy to tell apart.
In the app, you create the team first and then open it to add users or places. You can also invite a new colleague or create a new place there.
On the web, you can create the team without users and add users and places later. Under Add users, you can select an existing user or Create company user.
