Create a task for equipment or location

This guide shows how to create a task for equipment, vehicles, or locations. It is intended for users who want to be reminded of things like service, inspections, or other recurring actions.

When should I use this guide?

  • You want to create a task for equipment or a location

  • You want to be reminded of things like service or inspections

  • You want to assign a responsible person to a task


Requirements

  • You are logged into the system

  • You have access to equipment or a location


How to do it

In the app

  1. Go to the equipment or location

  2. Tap the Tasks tab

  3. Tap the plus icon in the bottom right corner

  4. Fill in the task:

    • Name: Give the task a name, e.g. “Inspection”

    • Description: Short information about what needs to be done

    • Due date: Select the date when the task should be completed

    • Recurring task: Enable if the task should repeat and choose an interval

    • User: Select who is responsible for the task (this person will also receive reminders)

    • Reminder: Choose if and when a reminder should be sent

  5. Save


On the web

  1. Go to the desired equipment or location

  2. Click the Task tab

  3. Click Create task

  4. Fill in the form:

    • Title: Give the task a name, e.g. “Inspection”

    • Description: Short information about what needs to be done

    • Due date: Select the date when the task should be completed

    • Recurring task: Enable if the task should repeat and choose an interval

    • Reminder: Choose if and when a reminder should be sent

    • Responsible: Select who is responsible for the task (this person will also receive reminders)

  5. Click Create


If it doesn’t work

  • Check that you have the correct permissions

  • Make sure the equipment/location is selected

  • Make sure all required fields are filled in


Tips!

  • Use recurring tasks for service and inspections

  • Always assign a responsible person for better follow-up

  • Use clear titles so tasks are easy to understand
